About Bill Sweet, Sr.

As the owner and founder of Get Insured CT, Bill Sweet, Sr. began his career as an insurance agent at Liberty Mutual before turning his attention toward owning his own independent agency in 2000. Soon after graduating from Rhode Island College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Bill obtained a license to sell insurance from the State of Connecticut in 1983. A few short years later, Bill earned the prestigious Charter Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation in 1986. By earning the noteworthy CLU® designation, Bill has proven to possess an in-depth knowledge of insurance needs for individuals, businesses and other professional clients. 

After achieving the status of Senior Sales Manager during his 18 years at Liberty Mutual, Bill decided to pursue his vision of opening his own independent insurance agency. To better serve the residents of Connecticut, Bill opened Granite Financial CT in Middletown, CT in 2000. In 2009, Granite Financial CT underwent a name change to Get Insured CT. Even though the name changed, Bill was certain to maintain the same approach to customer service that has made his business so reputable and honest. While realizing his dream, Bill’s efforts have also saved his clients money in the process. Under his direction, the agency has grown substantially while continuing to provide first-class service to the clients in the Connecticut community.
